For the convenience of the public, the timing of registration offices has been extended by one hour

Saharanpur. In order to provide maximum opportunity and facility to the general public for deed registration, it has been directed that all the sub-registrar offices of the state will do the registry work till 6 pm in the month of March 2025, along with this, the time for booking the slot which was till 4 pm has also been increased by one hour to 5 pm. Along with this, the work of deed registration will also be done smoothly on the last Sunday of the month of March, so that even on the said holiday, a large number of deeds can be registered by the general public and the department can be ensured to achieve the prescribed revenue target.
Due to the financial closure of the financial year 2024-25 and the festival of Holi and Navratri in the month of March, it is possible that a large number of immovable properties will be registered by the general public in this month. This decision has been taken in view of the insufficient working days available in the month due to public holidays on festivals like Holi etc. in the month of March. Along with this, it has been directed to take decisions at the local level regarding opening of Sub Registrar Offices for registration work on other holidays or Sundays of the month of March 2025. A decision has also been taken earlier to end the cases of stamp shortage under the one-time settlement scheme by a fine of only Rs 100 till 31.03.2025. These decisions have been taken to prove the resolve of public service of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister of the state Yogi Adityanath ji.
D.E.G Akhilesh Dubey, Stamp and Registration Department, Saharanpur Division, appealed to the general public and said that take maximum benefit of the settlement scheme. This settlement scheme will be implemented till March 31.
He informed that on the instructions of Stamp and Registration Minister Ravindra Jaiswal, the office timings have been extended by one hour for the convenience of the general public.
