Saharanpur, for the successful organization of Swachhata Hi Seva Pakhwada 2024 being celebrated under Swachh Bharat Mission Gramin, an orientation workshop of Gram Panchayat Pradhans was organized on the subject of river water conservation and cleanliness in Vikaskhand Sadholi Kadim today under the direction of Manish Bansal District Magistrate, Chairman District Sanitation Committee and Chairman District Ganga Committee. Welcoming the Gram Panchayat Pradhans present and the representatives from various Gram Panchayats of the Vikaskhand as the chief guest in the workshop, Area Panchayat Chief Chaudhary Vishwas Kumar laid special emphasis on the fact that we have to save our rivers for our environmental protection, prevent their water from getting polluted. The chief guest said that this can be possible only when we adopt cleanliness at a practical level in our lives. He called upon the participants of the workshop to take the development block rich in natural resources towards natural tourism from an environmental point of view. He also gave information about various activities being run by the government. In the workshop, Dev Bhaskar Pandey, District Sanitation Advisor, Swachh Bharat Mission Gramin, motivated people about cleanliness and environmental cleanliness and river water conservation and explained in detail about the efforts being made to conserve the river and various water sources under the Namami Gange campaign. Block Development Officer Lokchand Anand and Medical Officer in charge also addressed the workshop. Pradeep Pundir, Assistant Development Officer Panchayat, Ajay Kumar, Block Swachhata Motivator, along with all the secretaries and village heads are contributing to the successful organization of the workshop. On this occasion, the Chief Guest, Chief Development Officer, Ganga Pledge and Swachhata Pledge were also administered to the participants present by the Chief.
