Katni, Due to continuous rains in Katni district, waterlogging situation was created in the lower settlements of urban areas, while water was flowing over all the under bridges of the city and many bridges built over the Katni river. The hard work of the SDRF team to evacuate the affected people trapped in the flood proved fruitful when after the rescue operation conducted in the presence of Naib Tehsildar Shiv Bhushan Singh, many people were rescued from Rahulbagh area and Rapta Bridge river area, as well as a woman trapped in the gutter ghat flood, with the help of a boat.

Katni Collector Dilip Kumar Yadav, who reached the gutter ghat in the morning, has given strict instructions to all the officers and employees as well as the Municipal Corporation administration to evacuate the people trapped in the flood-like situation and keep them in a safe place and make arrangements for their food and water until the water level does not decrease. While talking to media persons, he also told that the entire district administration along with the municipal corporation administration is working to deal with any situation like flood.
