Five sentenced to death in advocate Karamveer murder case
All five taken to district jail

Saharanpur, ADJ Mahesh Kumar has sentenced Bhupendra Singh Batra, his son Gurupratap, brother Amarjit Singh, nephews Gurneet and Gurmeet Singh to death in the case of brutal murder of young advocate Karamveer Chhabra. All five were taken to district jail. They have been kept in jail hospital to avoid mental stress.
The death sentence file will be sent to High Court. Only after that appropriate legal action will be taken. Government lawyer Vikram Singh Verma gave this information. Seven points formed the basis of death sentence in this case. According to the court, advocate Karamveer Chhabra had a good image and he had also given civil service examination. Karamveer Chhabra's wife and daughter were dependent on him. The social and economic condition of the five convicts who were sentenced is good. After the murder of the advocate, it had a very bad effect on the society. A feeling of insecurity arose among the people. The murder was done in a very ruthless manner. Its effect was most on the victim's family. Karmveer Chhabra's father Satpal Chhabra and family members expressed satisfaction over the death penalty awarded to the murderers. They said that they do not want to remember old things. Patel Nagar resident Satpal Chhabra's family consists of his wife, younger son, daughter-in-law and daughter. Younger son Is-Charan is an advocate in the Supreme Court.
