Fishing, fish transport and fish marketing banned from June 16 to August 15

Chhatarpur, Under section 3 of the Madhya Pradesh Fisheries Act 1948, for fish conservation, under sub-section (2) of section 3 of the River Rules, 1972, the fish breeding period from June 16 to August 15 has been declared closed season. In which fishing, fish transport and fish marketing are prohibited.
Small ponds or other sources which are not connected with any river and which are not brought under the definition of specified water. Fishing will be completely banned in all the rivers and reservoirs except in the closed season. By amending the Madhya Pradesh Fisheries Rules 1948, there is a provision to punish one year's imprisonment or a fine of five thousand rupees or both for violation under section 5 of the Madhya Pradesh Fisheries (Amendment) Act 1981. During this period, neither do any kind of fishing, selling fish, transporting fish themselves, nor cooperate with others in this work.
