Fight after tension over burning of crackers in Indore
Large number of police forces deployed
In Indore's Chhatripura police station area, the dispute between two parties over burning of crackers escalated so much that the matter took the form of communal tension. During this, incidents of arson and stone pelting took place. Heavy police forces have been deployed in the area. Police officers are claiming that the situation is completely under control.
Indore's Deputy Commissioner of Police Rishikesh Meena said that people of minority and majority community live in equal numbers in Tat Patti area of Chhatripura police station area. On Friday at 2:00 pm, some small children were burning crackers. The dispute started over this matter, after which the dispute increased so much that many people from both the sides gathered on the spot and carried out the incident of fighting.
After this, people from both the sides took to the streets in large numbers, due to which incidents of stone pelting and arson also took place after the fight. Deputy Police Commissioner Meena said that after getting information about the incident, heavy police force has been deployed in the area. Now the situation is completely under control. Police is trying to identify the accused through CCTV footage. Cases are being registered by both the parties in this matter.
Half a dozen people injured in the fight
Defence Commissioner Rishikesh Meena said that half a dozen people were injured in the fight and they have been sent to the hospital for treatment. He said that whoever has created a ruckus in this incident will not be spared. Strict action will be taken against him. Police officials have also appealed to be cautious of rumours.
