Female doctor in Katni district hospital accused civil surgeon of mental harassment

Katni, A female doctor posted in Katni district hospital has made serious allegations against civil surgeon Yashwant Verma. The female doctor has accused him of mental harassment. After which the district collector formed a team of two members in which ADM and CMHO are investigating the whole matter, further action will be taken on the basis of whatever facts come out on the basis of investigation. Female doctor Sunita Singh has alleged in the complaint that civil surgeon Dr. Verma discriminates against other female doctors posted in the hospital. He provides special concessions and facilities to his wife Dr. Sunita Verma, while other female doctors working with her are harassed. Doctor Sunita Singh said that for the last ten years she is being continuously harassed by Dr. Yashwant Verma. He is not giving her the opportunity to work in the maternity ward. There are 10 women doctors in the hospital, but only four have been assigned the work of high-risk cases, operations and caesareans. Dr Sunita Verma is kept free from consultancy duty by the civil surgeon, while other women doctors are assigned other works besides call duty and consultancy duty. Apart from this, an allegation of 10 per cent commission for all other allowances in the district hospital is also made. Dr Sunita Singh has alleged that a woman doctor has been posted in the hospital since January. She is not being asked to do any work for the last six months. She has been given special exemption. Neither is she assigned duty in MLC of IPC 376 nor in casualty.
