The accused father Miththu Paswan is a resident of Jahangirpur of Shyampur Bhatha police station area of ​​​​Shivhar.

The accused's wife Usha Devi has been living with the children in her maternal house in Dhangar village for the last few months. On Wednesday, the child's body was recovered from a pond located behind Dema Hospital. As soon as the information of the incident was received, the police reached the spot, took the body in their custody and sent it for postmortem and started investigating the case.

The deceased's mother Usha Devi and uncle Nagendra Paswan told that the accused Miththu Paswan had married another woman three months ago. He used to beat his children often and did not give a single penny for food and treatment of the children. They were forced to register a case in Shivhar Mahila Thana. He often used to put pressure on them to withdraw the case.

The accused finally threw out his first wife Usha Devi and her children from the house. Since then Usha Devi is living in her maternal home. Usha Devi told that on Tuesday night Miththu called and abused her and threatened to withdraw the case, then started asking for the child back. On refusal, he reached Dhangar the same night and threatened to kill the mother and son. Late night he picked up the child while he was sleeping and killed him.

When she woke up in the morning, her 19-month-old son was found missing. While searching for him, the woman left for her in-laws' house in Jahangipur. Meanwhile, while cutting grass, a villager spotted the child's dead body. After getting the information, the woman reached the spot and was stunned to see her son's dead body. After conducting the post-mortem, the police handed over the body to the family and is conducting raids to arrest the accused.
