A farmer arrived with his family on a tractor at the public hearing held at the collectorate premises in Shivpuri, Shivpuri today. He brought peanut seeds kept for sowing in the field in a sack and spread all the seeds on the middle of the road, accusing the forest department officials of harassing him.

A few days ago also, the same farmer had spread peanut seeds in the collectorate premises. At that time, the farmer was assured by the Tehsildar along with the ADM.

Jagat Singh Lodhi, a resident of Umrikalan village of Pichore subdivision, said that his 14 bigha land is adjacent to the forest land, which was also demarcated last year, but the path to his land goes through the forest land. Apart from this, there is another path to reach his land. But along with the forest land, the ranger has also got the peanut crop sown on the path leading to the land. Due to which I am not able to reach my farm to sow peanuts. I am very upset due to this and I am forced to take such a step to seek help from the administration.
