Seoni, The condition of Gram Panchayat Badalpar, which comes under the district panchayat Kurai of Seoni and has the status of the largest panchayat of the area, does not look good these days. After the Panchayat elections held in the year 2023, today 2 years of tenure in Panchayati Raj have started passing, but the villagers here are yearning for development works in Gram Panchayat Badalpar under Kurai district.
Far away from development works, due to the poor working system of the elected members of the Panchayat and the Panchayat workers in this Gram Panchayat, the villagers of this Panchayat have remained untouched by the development works.
At the same time, the expectations that the residents had from the candidates who were elected as per their wishes are also seen to be dashed.
The Panchayat's working system is running on the lines of Andheri Nagari Chaupat Raja
This Gram Panchayat is named after the largest inhabited Gram Panchayat of Kurai district, but if you come to this Panchayat and observe, then a different picture will be seen here, realizing the concept of a neglected and backward village.
This village has 20 wards, where a large population also resides, but most of the wards of the village have broken roads and a bad condition, and a disorganized tap water scheme, where people keep getting complaints related to drinking water throughout the year.
If investigated, it seems that the maximum number of complaints regarding drinking water problem, 181, will be found in this Panchayat.
There are some wards of this Panchayat where only the pipeline has been laid under the Jal Jeevan Mission, and the water is yet to be delivered.
There are some wards here where people have to buy water from private bores and drink it.
If we look at the cleanliness in this Panchayat, then although the drain has been constructed in this Panchayat, but the Panchayat does not consider it its responsibility to clean the drain which is clogged at many places. Due to which the water coming out of the houses and shops flows openly on the roads, due to which the passersby are troubled by the dirt on the roads, most of the villagers of the village told that how many times the Panchayat workers have been asked to clean the drain, but the Panchayat does not pay heed to it.
People cannot come out on the roads during the rainy season, the whole village remains in the lap of darkness
Almost all the wards of the Panchayat have been in the lap of darkness for many years, where street lights have been installed for name sake but they are never seen burning. Now the rainy season has started in which poisonous creatures come out on the road, but the Panchayat is not even concerned about getting the street lights started.
Apart from this, many incomplete construction works are a sign of the poor functioning of this Panchayat. People of this Panchayat get upset when someone dies in the village and it is time to perform the last rites because the condition of the village cremation ground is so pathetic that every person coming here says 'uff' after seeing the condition of the cremation ground.
There are 2 to 3 cremation grounds in village Badalpar which are so neglected that they look more like a place for collecting garbage than a cremation ground.
Apart from this, there are many other exploits of this Panchayat which you will get to read in the upcoming issues...
