Chapra, A RJD supporter was shot dead in a violent clash between two factions after polling in Chapra. While two people were injured by bullets. The injured were admitted to PMCH. Where the condition of one remains critical. After this incident, instructions have been given to keep the central forces deployed at the headquarters.

Instructions have been given to deploy RAP and CRPF personnel at sensitive places. The Home Department has given instructions to shut down internet services in Saran district till May 23. The STET exam to be held on 22 and 23 May has also been postponed. Additional Chief Secretary of Home Department Pratyaya Amrit has issued this order.

Internet services have been shut down on the basis of DM's report. It is feared that anti-social elements may use social media to provoke people and tension may arise in the area. The Home Department has taken this decision to maintain peace in the district. At present, the police has been asked to control the situation. The police is continuously camping at the spot. A large number of soldiers have been deployed for this work.
