Eight Naxalites were killed in an encounter between security forces and Naxalites in Todka area of ​​Gangalur police station area of ​​Bijapur district. According to sources, the bodies of all the killed Naxalites have been recovered by the soldiers. It is being told that the encounter is still going on. DRG and STF personnel are involved in this encounter. Many automatic weapons are also reported to have been recovered from the killed Naxalites.

Earlier, the force had achieved great success in the encounter between security forces and Naxalites in Naxal-affected district Gariaband. 14 Naxalites were killed in Bhalu Diggi forest located at Kulhadi Ghat. At the same time, a soldier of CRPF's Cobra unit was also injured. Bodies and weapons of 14 Naxalites were recovered.
