Pandit Lalshankar Mehta told that this year Ganeshotsav will start on 19th September. On this day, on Chaturthi of Shukla Paksha of Bhadra Paksha, the auspicious time for installation of Bappa's idol is from 10.50 am to 1.52 pm. Apart from this, devotees can also establish Bappa from 3.23 to 4.54 pm. For those who worship in the evening, the auspicious time will be from 7.54 to 9.23. According to Pt. Mehta, it will be more beneficial to make and install the idol of Lord Ganesha on this day. This is the reason why this time the city residents are making idols of Shri Ganesh with their own hands instead of the idols made of POP. Who are now giving final touches to their statues.
