Damoh, As a result of the announcement of elections for the Assembly Elections-2023 by the Election Commission of India, the Model Code of Conduct has come into force in the assembly constituencies 54-Patharia, 55-Damoh, 56-Jabera and 57-Hata of Damoh district. Voting for the Assembly Elections 2023 will conclude on 17 November 2023. Whose counting of votes will be completed on 03 December 2023. Keeping in view the possibility of misuse of religious institutions in election campaigning, organizing rally meetings etc. during the election period and for smooth functioning of law and peace, communal harmony, maintenance of public order and law and order situation. In view of the creation, Collector and District Magistrate Mayank Aggarwal, using the powers conferred under the Religious Institutions (Prevention of Misuse) Act, 1988, removed the assembly constituencies of the district namely 54-Patharia, 55-Damoh, 56-Jabera and 57-Hata. Under the Religious Institutions (Prevention of Misuse) Act, 1988 in the revenue limit area, the funds of religious institutions or religious institutions can be used for promoting and promoting any political idea or political activity or any activity giving benefit to any political party. In the order issued, it has been said that if convicted for the offense related to violation of the provisions, there is a provision of imprisonment for a term of up to 5 years and a fine of up to Rs 10,000. During the election period, no person or political party will hold any movement, meetings, demonstrations, processions, fund collection or distribution work in any religious place.

In case of violation of the order, prosecution action will be taken under the law. This order will be effective immediately and will be applicable within the constituencies and revenue limits falling under Damoh district from the date of issue till the completion of the election process.
