Saharanpur (Sarsawa), Vidyut Nigam has taken major action against electricity thieves and defaulters etc. by conducting checking campaign in Nawada Raipur feeder area. Under the leadership of SDO Sundar Pal, officials, employees and police of Vidyut Nigam conducted a massive checking campaign in Nawada Raipur power house area. During this, 195 houses were checked in Samsapur and Kunda villages of the feeder. SDO Sundar Pal said that 15 people were caught red handed stealing electricity. A case has been registered against them under the sections of electricity theft in Sarsawa police station. Also, 25 connections of defaulters have also been cut. Meters and cables of 35 big defaulters worth more than one lakh rupees have been removed from the pole. During checking, four meters were found faulty, which were replaced simultaneously.
