Saharanpur | Deoband, Two days of continuous heavy rain have turned the roads in Deoband city into ponds. Only a few shops were open in the markets of Deoband city. The markets and streets remained deserted throughout the day. Due to the rain, the roads in many neighborhoods and colonies of Deoband city were flooded with water, causing significant inconvenience to the residents. The continuous rain since Wednesday night has caused waterlogging on main roads, including Mohalla Shahjilal, Bus Stand Road, Lahaswada Chowk, Excise Road, Badjiaulhaq, Idgah Road, and Bairun Kotla. Meanwhile, due to waterlogging on most rural roads, villagers faced significant difficulties entering the city of Deoband. The first monsoon rains brought pleasant weather, with temperatures hovering between 12 and 15 degrees Celsius, providing relief from the heat and humidity. According to agricultural scientists, this rain is extremely beneficial for farmers. However, growers of greens, gourds, and ridge gourds have faced renewed difficulties. Waterlogging in low-lying areas is causing hardship for residents. The continuous and heavy rainfall has severely disrupted public life. Electricity supply has also been severely disrupted. According to meteorologists, these conditions will likely persist for a few more days.
