Balaghat, the contractor has occupied the government colony of the Bajar River Project Division under Baihar district of the district headquarters by colluding with the officials. According to the information, the contractor has been living there with his associates for more than two years, flouting the government rules and the concerned officials are pretending to be ignorant even after knowing the matter and instead of taking action, they are giving more and more concessions to the contractor. Due to which the contractor is fearlessly living comfortably in the government colony along with his associates. It should be noted that the rule states that whether it is a government residence or a government colony, the concerned officer or his employee can reside in both if required, and for that also the higher officials have to be informed that by saying that the concerned employee will reside, he can reside only for a limited period, the rule says so, we are not saying this and no outsider can reside in the government residence or government colony. But the contractor along with his associates has occupied the government colony of Baihar Banjar project and that too more than two years ago. Perhaps the contractor's intention is to occupy that government colony, that is why he is not leaving and the officers of the concerned department do not have the courage to tell him to vacate the government house. According to the information received from sources, this contractor is given more government work because this contractor gives more commission. That is why a small contractor who came from outside has become a well-known contractor of Baihar today and is making money from the government money along with his associates and the commission for every work is also being easily given to the officers by him.

Now it remains to be seen that for how long will this contractor reside in the government colony, till when will the concerned officers remove his occupation from the government colony or let it go on as it is, only time will tell what action the concerned department takes against this contractor. Or will the saying 'If you eat, you will sing' not remain, only the future will tell.
