Balaghat, the tap to be installed under the Tap Water Scheme in the village panchayat Jhamul, which comes under Birsa Janpad Panchayat, has not been installed in any house till date, due to which the villagers are not getting pure water, while the subordinate employees have cleverly told their officers that 95 percent of the work has been completed, which is zero work on the ground. The village Sarpanch Gautriya Maravi has accused the PHE department and the contractor of the said negligence and the district administration has also been asked to take action against such careless officers and employees.
The Sarpanch further informed that the contractor and the concerned employees had come to our Panchayat to start the said work and informed that under the government scheme, taps will be installed in every house in your Panchayat under the Tap Water Scheme, for which the contractor has laid a pipeline underground, but till date not a single house is getting water.
At the same time we would like to inform you that a lot of publicity was done about this scheme that "Every home has water and every home has tap" while crores of rupees were also sanctioned for this scheme but mostly this scheme is being accused of commission, corruption and negligence in work. It should be known that to show the said work in progress and to take the villagers into confidence, the employees came to the Panchayat on Thursday, June 27, 2024 and made Panchnama, then on the spot, in the presence of Sarpanch, Village Employment Assistant and Assistant Engineer, Sub-Engineer, Contractor Supervisor etc., the details of the said work have been given, and it is clearly written in it that 95 percent work has been done, additional tube well and electricity work is to be done for 25 houses of Kevratola, which is in progress, water is not available in Baniyatola, work has to be started after repair work, the new pipe line in Silatitola has to be connected to the old pipe line and tested, along with other things have been mentioned in this Panchnama and the work will be started within a week, but more than a month has passed but till now there is no trace of the contractor, employees and officers, nor has a tap been installed in anyone's house yet and the concerned officers are being misled that 95 percent work has been done in this Panchayat The work has been done. In this way also people are misled by the employees. The Sarpanch has demanded action against such careless contractors and employees. And the village Sarpanch has demanded from the District Magistrate through the media that the said work should be started as soon as possible and action against such careless contractors, employees and officers has been demanded.

Now it remains to be seen that when the responsible officer takes action after the publication of the news and till when the village gets the benefit of the tap water scheme in every house or such negligence continues in future as well.
