A shocking incident has come to light in Telangana's capital Hyderabad on Friday. According to the police, a drunk woman allegedly broke the glass of the bus and then threw a snake at the female bus conductor. At present, Hyderabad police has taken the accused woman into custody.
Vidyanagar case, woman throws liquor bottle at bus
Police said that a woman, allegedly in an inebriated condition, threw a liquor bottle at a Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TGSRTC) bus in Vidyanagar. When the conductor questioned the woman, she took out a snake from her bag and threw it at him, however, the conductor escaped snake bite during this time.
Complaint lodged at Nallakunta police station in the case
TGSRTC officials said that they have lodged a complaint at the Nallakunta police station regarding the incident and said that reports that the woman attacked the bus because the driver did not stop the vehicle at Vidyanagar bus stand are not true. He said, there is no RTC bus stop on the free left at Vidyanagar signal and there are two bus stops before and after the free left.
The woman accused the bus driver of not stopping the bus
A police officer said in the case that on the basis of the complaint, a case was registered against the woman and she was taken into custody. The woman was drunk. She threw the snake at the conductor when the bus driver did not stop the vehicle, the police officer told. The officer further said that the woman's husband used to catch snakes and in view of Nag Panchami, she was taking the snake with her. Further investigation is underway.
