Patna, Motihari Sadar Hospital has a long story of scams. From the civil surgeon to the lower staff, everyone is involved, yet the scam is not stopping. In the year 2017, an FIR was lodged against five people including the then civil surgeon Dr. Meera Verma for the drug scam worth crores and irregularities in purchase. Now the name of a clerk of Sadar Hospital has also come up in that case. In the police investigation, the role of the head clerk of Sadar Hospital seems suspicious. After this, Sadar Hospital clerk Sanjay Sinha has appealed to the court for anticipatory bail.

The head clerk of the hospital has been surrounded in the drug scam case of about four crores 50 lakh 77 thousand rupees in Motihari Sadar Hospital. Despite his suspicious role in such a big scam, he has been given the responsibility of three works. It is said that Sanjay Sinha is in charge of the head clerk as well as the clerk of a PHC. Also dealing with the post mortem file. According to information, the role of head clerk Sanjay Sinha has been found suspicious in the drug scam case. After his name came up in the police investigation, Sanjay Sinha has approached the court for anticipatory bail. In Motihari Nagar police station case number 232-2017, clerk Sanjay Sinha has filed a petition for anticipatory bail in the court of the District Judge on May 6. The hearing in which was held on May 27. The next hearing is on June 14.
Let us tell you, the then civil surgeon of Motihari, Dr Prashant Kumar, had filed a case in the Nagar police station on April 5, 2017. The drug scam is worth about Rs 4 crore 50 lakh 77 thousand. According to the FIR, without any order, medicines worth about six crores were supplied by the supplier company. During the investigation, medicines worth about 85 lakh seven thousand were found in the store. According to the annexure, when the payment has been made, it has been done on the basis of due voucher. The signature is on the voucher, but it is not mentioned in the register.
In this matter, an FIR was lodged against the then civil surgeon Dr Meera Verma of Shahi Colony, Hajipur, Dr US Pathak of the then store doctor, Bhuneshwar Shrivastava of the then head clerk Damodarpur Govindganj, Manoj Kumar of Brahmapura, Muzaffarpur and Amit Kumar of Turkaulia, currently a resident of Belbanwa. The civil surgeon had accused these officers and employees of making payment of the said amount without purchasing the medicine in connivance. Director General of the Health Department, Dr RD Ranjan had earlier given instructions for the FIR. After the FIR, there was a stir in the department.
