On Tuesday also, the doctors have decided to keep the OPD service closed in these hospitals. The strike of junior residents in PMCH, NMCH, IGIMS and Patna AIIMS will continue on Tuesday as well. In such a situation, neither OPD will run in these hospitals on Tuesday nor will the pre-scheduled surgeries be done. On Monday also, junior resident doctors sat on dharna in these hospitals.
The lives of patients are in danger due to the halt of OPD services in all the four major hospitals of Patna. Doctors have not disrupted emergency services but OPD services have been closed for the last several days, due to which patients who have come to Patna from far-off places for treatment are facing a lot of trouble. Patients and their families were seen wandering in these hospitals for treatment.
