A peace committee meeting was held with police and administrative officials, elite citizens of different communities in the new auditorium of Collectorate under the chairmanship of District Magistrate Manish Bansal regarding peace and law and order and other necessary arrangements on the upcoming Moharram festival. In the meeting, DM Manish Bansal said that the festival should be celebrated with customs while maintaining communal harmony. This area has always been an example of mutual brotherhood and Ganga-Jamuni culture. All religions give the message of peace. If there is any problem or dispute anywhere, then inform the district administration. The problem will be resolved appropriately in time. Alam and Tazia should be taken out on traditional routes only. The height of the Alam should be as per the standard. District Magistrate Manish Bansal directed the executive officers of Municipal Corporation, Municipal Council, Nagar Panchayats to ensure cleanliness and the officials of the Electricity Department to ensure uninterrupted power supply. There should not be any obstruction during the procession, the Electricity Department should fix the wires according to the height of the flag. He directed the Chief Medical Officer to make arrangements for ambulances on the procession route. He directed that there should not be any potholes and waterlogging anywhere. All the concerned officers should remain in constant touch with the members of the committee. Senior Superintendent of Police Rohit Singh Sajwan said that the Sub-District Magistrate and Police Circle Officer of the concerned areas should visit the procession routes and ensure the resolution of problems along with the necessary arrangements. He said that no new tradition should be started unnecessarily. On this occasion, Chief Development Officer Sumit Rajesh Mahajan, Additional District Magistrate (Administration) Dr. Archana Dwivedi, SP Rural Sagar Jain, City Magistrate Gajendra Kumar, Sarfaraz Khan, Jama Masjid Manager Maulvi Farid, Brit Chawla, Aamir Khan, Bade Imam Bargah Manager Dr. Syed Athar Abbas Zaidi, Choudhary Muzaffar Ali along with administrative and police officers and officers of concerned departments and members of peace committee were present.
