Saharanpur, District Sanitation Committee meeting was convened under Swachh Bharat Mission Gramin in the Collectorate Auditorium under the chairmanship of District Magistrate Manish Bansal. In the meeting, District Magistrate Manish Bansal directed that all eligible persons should be included in the list of beneficiary families for construction of toilets. He directed that the construction of toilets should be done as per the prescribed standards. He directed all the Block Development Officers to take personal interest and make the adopted village a model Gram Panchayat by getting the work to be done under Swachh Bharat Mission. For this, regularly visit the concerned Gram Panchayats and encourage the Gram Pradhan, local teacher, Panchayat Assistant and sanitation worker to work there. Taking information about the expenditure made under solid liquid waste management, he asked to spend the remaining amount received. DM Manish Bansal directed to make a systematic strategy for the quality, maintenance and successful operation and effective implementation of the construction works being done under Swachh Bharat Mission Gramin. He said that cleanliness is directly related to health and emphasized that special efforts should be made towards making a healthy Gram Panchayat by paying special attention to cleanliness. He directed for the successful operation of RRC centers by coordinating at the ground level. He instructed the concerned Block Development Officers to randomly check the verified list of beneficiaries in individual toilets. Chief Development Officer Sumit Rajesh Mahajan, Chief Medical Officer Dr. Praveen Kumar, PDDRDA Pranay Krishna, District Panchayat Raj Officer Alok Kumar, District Program Officer Nandlal Prasad, District Basic Education Officer Komal, Member District Panchayat Hansraj Gautam and other officers were present in the meeting.
