District Magistrate Dr. Dinesh Chandra is giving a better message to the people of the district by showing true service towards the destitute cattle. The result of this is that today after the festival of Holi, District Magistrate Dr. Dinesh Chandra inspected Kalsia Cowshala of Tehsil Behat and took stock of the arrangements in the Cowshala like green fodder, straw, water, shed etc. During the inspection he found all the arrangements satisfactory. In compliance with the instructions given by Dr. Dinesh Chandra, all the Sub-Collectors and Tehsildars inspected the cow sheds and took stock of the availability of green fodder and straw. District Magistrate Dr. Dinesh Chandra's love for cows is not hidden from anyone. He definitely serves the cows and calves growing at his residence every day. Apart from this, District Magistrate Dr. Dinesh Chandra keeps visiting the cow shelters located in the district. To ensure that the cows do not face shortage of green fodder, he promoted the production of Napier grass. His innovative effort of Napier grass is being adopted across the state. District Magistrate Dr. Dinesh Chandra, while explaining about the production of Napier grass, said that this is an innovative effort in the direction of five-year green fodder management. He said that the method of planting this grass is also very simple and it is ready in about 70 to 80 days. He called upon the farmers to sow Napier grass as much as possible. By sowing Napier grass, availability of green fodder can be ensured throughout the year in various cowsheds of the district. Deputy District Magistrate Behat Deepak Kumar and village head were present during the inspection.
