Saharanpur, As per the instructions of the Election Commission of India, District Election Officer Dr. Dinesh Chandra held a meeting with the nodal officers and AROs in the new auditorium at the Collectorate regarding the preparations for the Lok Sabha General Election-2024 and to conduct free, fair, inducement-free, fear-free and peaceful voting in the district. Gave instructions to officials for. He said that the Lok Sabha General Elections-2024 will be held in a completely fair and transparent manner. He said that after voting, all the EVMs will be sent from the polling station to the strong room in a government vehicle. Elderly people above 85 years of age and disabled people will get the facility to vote from home. District Election Officer Dr Dinesh Chandra said that this time the candidates will be able to get a check book of Rs 200 from the bank. Banks have been instructed in this regard. He said that efforts should be made to increase the voting percentage by identifying the constituencies where voting has been low in the previous elections. Dr. Dinesh Chandra urged the voters of the district to participate enthusiastically in the election festival and cast their vote on the day of voting. District Election Officer Dr. Dinesh Chandra asked all the officers to ensure compliance with the instructions of the Election Commission of India in letter and spirit. He said that conducting free, fair, fear-free, transparent and participatory elections is the highest priority of the Commission. All officers should be alert and ready for this.
