Anuppur, Under Bijuri police station of Anuppur district, on 27 August 2024, at around 12.30 pm, the police received information from an informer that Ashish Kushwaha, son of Shankar Lal Kushwaha, resident of Cabin Dafaai, a district banned person of Bijuri police station, is going to transport and sell stolen scrap of Isar truck no. MP 20 GA 7634. ​​Taking immediate action on the information, Bijuri police recovered about 06 tonnes of illegal scrap and contraband worth about 09 lakh rupees from the possession of accused Ashish Kushwaha and Sharad Yadav, son of Swaminath Yadav, resident of Panagar Jabalpur. Investigation is being done by registering FIR no. 01/24 against the accused under sections 35(1) (D), 106 BNSS, 303(2), 317(2), 317(4), BNS.

It is noteworthy that the accused Ashish Kushwaha is banished from the district Anuppur for 01 year under the order number case 24/district ban/2023 Anuppur dated 30 October 2023 of the District Executive Magistrate Anuppur. On being found violating the said order, a separate case number 209/24 under section 14 of M.P. State Security Act 1990 has been registered against the accused and he is being sent to judicial custody in the court. Earlier also, on being found violating the said order, on 11.06.24, a case number 154/24 under section 14 of M.P. State Security Act 1990 was registered and he was sent to judicial custody in the court, who is currently released on bail in the said case.
