Badlapur, In Badlapur of Thane district of Maharashtra, a school sweeper sexually assaulted two kindergarten girls. After the incident came to light, the internet was banned due to tension in the city. However, now it has been restored.

After the incident of brutality with the girls came to light, people protested fiercely in Mumbai on Tuesday (August 20). Due to which the local train service in Mumbai was disrupted for about 10 hours.

The medical report confirmed the rape of the girls. It was told in the FIR that both the girls were scared. During this time the girls told that the grandfather had removed her clothes and touched her private part.

It has been told in the FIR registered in the case that the parents of a girl have told the police the story of the brutality done with their daughter. According to the FIR, the incident took place between 9 am and 12 noon on August 13.

India Today reported that the parents of one of the girls first informed the police about the incident on August 16. However, the police took 12 hours to register an FIR in this case.

After the FIR, the accused Akshay Shinde has been arrested by the police under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act and several other sections.

The National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) said that it will send a team to Badlapur to investigate the case.
