Damoh, According to the program released by the Election Commission of India, voter awareness campaign is being continuously run in the district as part of sweep activities in 07-Damoh parliamentary constituency. In the same series, today, the Disabled Awareness Rally was flagged off by Collector and District Election Officer Sudhir Kumar Kochhar and CEO District Panchayat and Nodal Officer of Sweep, Arpit Verma, with the aim of making the disabled and senior voters aware about voting from the Collectorate office premises. . The rally returned from Collectorate via Belatal, Police Petrol Pump, Tehsil Ground and reached Kirti Stambh.
Collector and District Election Officer Sudhir Kumar Kochhar said that a long series of voter awareness programs is being run in Damoh, it is being led by Sweep Nodal Officer and CEO District Panchayat Arpit Verma. In this regard, a complete calendar has been prepared that till April 24, when the voting time comes closer, separate voter awareness programs will be organized every day. In the same sequence, Sweep Sakhi program was completed in Patharia yesterday, similarly a disabled rally has been organized today. Its objective is to make voting easier especially for the disabled people and to make everyone aware about voting through them.
He said that the Election Commission has launched Sugam App for the convenience of disabled voters. For this, he has urged all the disabled voters to download this app. Get whatever support you can get from the government in voting through the app, like tricycle etc. He said, I want to assure that we will continuously run campaigns for voter awareness so that the voting percentage increases further in Damoh, we set a new record as compared to the last elections, we will work in this direction.
Sweep Nodal Officer and CEO District Panchayat Arpit Verma said that everyone is aware that voting will be held in the district on 26th April. Under the direction of Collector and District Election Officer Mr. Kochhar, sweep activities are being organized in the district to make voters aware so that they can use their franchise. In this sequence, a disabled rally was organized today from Collectorate to Kirti Stambh. This rally will give a message to all the people that everyone should use their vote. He said that Sugam app has been launched for disabled voters. Through which you can apply for whatever facility is required for voting, such as wheelchair etc.
A disabled person said that for the disabled rally today, the Collector had directed through the Additional Collector that all disabled people should come and participate in the awareness rally. We all have taken out a rally to make the people of Damoh aware through the rally “Vote first, leave the rest.” Because many people do not vote, a rally has been organized to encourage everyone to vote as much as possible, so that a good candidate can be elected who will serve the society and take everyone along.
A disabled person appealed to all the voters of the area and said to strengthen the democracy by using their vote, due to this we all the disabled brothers have organized a voter awareness rally, through this we have given the message that everyone should cast their vote. Must be used so that democracy can be strengthened. He said that every vote has utmost importance in democracy, only this makes democracy stronger.
In this rally, to spread voter awareness, the traditional slogan of voter awareness Bundeli Rai was presented by the drama troupe through the music of Dhol, Manjire Nagade. The artists made the passers-by aware of the importance of voting on the occasion of voting day.
