Indore, Direct international flights to Abu Dhabi began from Devi Ahilyabai Holkar Airport on Wednesday evening. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav flagged off the first flight and handed over symbolic boarding passes to selected passengers.

International flight services have resumed from Indore after nearly four and a half months. On the first day, 79 passengers traveled to Abu Dhabi on the 180-seater flight, which departed at 7:50 pm. Meanwhile, 158 passengers have booked the first flight from Abu Dhabi to Indore. This service will operate four days a week—Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday.

International connectivity will receive a new boost

At the launch of the flight, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that this service will provide a new boost to the international connectivity of Indore and Madhya Pradesh. He informed that the state government is successfully operating the PM Shri Air Service in the state, and now other states are also following this model.

The Chief Minister said that the state government has implemented a new aviation policy to promote international air services, under which an incentive of ₹15 lakh will be provided for the operation of each new international flight.

Continuous Expansion of the State's Air Network

The Chief Minister informed that during his government's tenure, five new airports have been inaugurated in the state, while construction work on new airports in Ujjain and Shivpuri is underway. Water Resources Minister Tulsi Silavat, MP Shankar Lalwani, public representatives, and administrative officials were present at the event.

Officers and Employees Express Gratitude

Officers and employees welcomed Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav and expressed their gratitude for paving the way for the long-pending promotion process in the state. District President of the Gazetted Officers Association, Jitendra Singh, and Divisional President of the Assistant Director Agriculture Officers Association, Sandeep Yadav, felicitated the Chief Minister with bouquets. The administrative officers present at the airport also expressed their gratitude to the Chief Minister for starting the promotion process.
