Saran, Saran DIG Vikas Barman has been sent on central deputation. Additional charge of Saran DIG has been handed over to IG Shivdeep Lande of Muzaffarpur Range. Bihar government has relieved DIG Vikas Barman of Saran region for ITBP. IG Shivdeep Lande of Muzaffarpur region will be in charge of DIG of Saran region. Home Department has issued a notification for this.

It is mentioned in the notification that as a result of being appointed on the basis of deputation to the post of Deputy Inspector General of Police in Indo-Tibetan Border Police for a period of 5 years from the date of assuming office or till further orders, whichever is earlier, 2008 batch IPS Vikas Varman, Deputy Inspector General of Police, Saran region, Chapra is relieved from the date of relinquishing charge of the current post to assume charge of the said post and his services are handed over to the Home Ministry, Government of India.

Vikas Varman is directed to join the Indo-Tibetan Border Police and submit a report to this department. The Home Department notification also mentions that the additional charge of the post held by Vikas Varman is given to 2006 batch IPS Shivdeep Wamanrao Lande, Inspector General of Police, Tirhut region, Muzaffarpur, until further orders.
Let us tell you that Vikas Varman was earlier working as DIG Administration in Patna. He is discussed as an IPS with good behavior skills. He is originally from Bihar. IPS Vikas Barman has been SP in many districts including Siwan, Sitamarhi, Nawada, Samastipur.
