Maihar, Jabalpur High Court, while approving the hearing of the PIL filed against the state government for not including the Patwari circles of Maihar, Uchehra and Parsamania hills in the newly created Maihar district, has issued a notice to the responsible officials and sought their response. Orders to this effect have been given after hearing the petition presented by Uchehra businessman and social worker Pawan Tamrakar, Mubarak Ali, and advocate Kamal Singh Markam. The petitioner said that by issuing a gazette notification on September 5, 2023, the time for hearing the claim objection regarding the newly formed district was fixed after 30 days, but before the completion of 30 days, a notice was issued and the hearing was held on October 4. The day Maihar became a newly created district state government, whereas earlier 71 Patwari Halkas of Uchehara and Parasmania were included in Maihar District but later these 71 Patwari Halkas were not included in Maihar District and Maihar was made a new district, the petitioners petition. Through this case, all the records have been summoned and a demand has been made to include 71 Patwari circles of Uchehara Parasamnia in Maihar district.
