New Delhi, Friday morning started with monsoon rain in Delhi-NCR. Heavy rain has filled everything from roads to homes with water. People are stuck here and there due to waterlogging at many places. At many places, the situation is such that cars got submerged in water, due to which people are troubled. At the same time, due to rain, a big improvement has also been seen in the AQI of Delhi. The average AQI is around 50 at most places, while at some places it was recorded less than 50.

According to the data released by CPCB, till 11 am in Delhi, AQI was recorded at Ashok Vihar 56. 46 at IGI Airport (Terminal-3), 53 at ITO, 57 at Lodhi Road.

Water filled in many houses of South Delhi
The heavy rain in Delhi has put many people in trouble on the roads, and houses in many areas have been flooded. It is reported that rainwater has filled many houses in South Ex Part 1.

Traffic jam at many places on the roads
Amid severe waterlogging due to continuous rain in Delhi, there was a heavy traffic jam on the road in Mayur Vihar area. Due to which people had to face a lot of trouble. Similarly, the condition of other roads is also the same.

Passengers are facing problems due to waterlogging
After heavy rains in Delhi, passengers are facing problems due to waterlogging in Connaught Place area. From traders to passersby, everyone is troubled due to the worsening conditions due to rain.

Delhi Metro services affected at some places
According to the information given by Delhi Metro, entry/exit at Yashobhoomi Dwarka Sector-25 Metro Station is closed due to heavy rains. Also, shuttle service from Delhi Aerocity Metro Station to Terminal 1-IGI Airport has been suspended. Service normal on all other lines.

Traffic affected due to falling of tree

Traffic on the route from Jwala Heri Market to Madipur is affected due to the falling of a tree in front of Jwala Heri Market in Delhi.

Water filled in Pragati Maidan Tunnel

Pragati Maidan Tunnel connecting East Delhi and Noida to New Delhi has been filled with water on a large scale. Due to this, the tunnel has been closed from both sides and there is a large-scale jam on both sides of the tunnel. It is being told that water started filling in the tunnel from 6 in the morning itself. After that the movement of vehicles was stopped. Police officers and PWD employees are trying to remove the water.

Yellow alert till July 3

The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for rain till July 3. While there is an orange alert for rain on Saturday. In such a situation, the temperature can reach 34 to 33 degrees Celsius due to rain during the weekend. The Meteorological Department has expressed the possibility of monsoon hitting Delhi in the coming three days.
