See the pictures, it will feel like Dubai-America
The new Terminal-1 at Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport will start from August 17. Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated this terminal on March 10, however, it will be operational on Saturday after getting regulatory approvals.
Delhi Airport's operator company DIAL said on Wednesday that on August 17, 13 flights of SpiceJet will be shifted to the new Terminal-1. Later, from September 2, IndiGo will also shift its 34 flights from Terminal-2 and Terminal-3 to Terminal-1.
Many beautiful pictures of Terminal 1 of Delhi Airport are going viral on social media, in which you can also see the facilities available to the passengers.
Vehicles can also be taken to the entry gate at Terminal 1, as soon as you move towards T1, you will feel like you are in a different country.
You will reach the airport lounge directly through lift and stairs, from where you can take your flight.
Comfortable chairs have been installed at Terminal 1 for the passengers to sit, and there are also small stalls for their food and drinks.
Sign boards have also been installed at various places at Terminal 1 so that any passenger arriving at the airport does not get confused about the routes and gate information.
DIAL says that after the start of this terminal, the burden on Terminal-2 and 3 will be reduced. It is worth mentioning that on June 28, in the early morning, amid heavy rain and strong winds, the roof of the old departure forecourt at Terminal-1 of the airport collapsed.
A cab driver died in the accident while some people were injured. Flight operations from the terminal were stopped with immediate effect and the flights of Terminal-1 were later shifted to Terminal-2 and Terminal-3. This increased the pressure on the other two terminals.
