88 others reported injured
People buried under hoardings are being continuously rescued. NDRF official said that two more bodies have been found under the debris at the site of hoarding collapse in Mumbai. In such a situation, the number of people who died in this accident has increased to 16 and 88 others are reported to be injured. Apart from these, more than 60 people have been evacuated safely. There is a possibility of some people still buried inside. Due to the presence of underground storage of petrol pump in the debris, the use of equipment which could cause fire is being minimized in the rescue work.

At the same time, here in Mumbai, a fire broke out today near the place where a huge hoarding had fallen on a petrol pump, spreading panic among the people. However the fire was immediately controlled. Eyewitnesses said that rescue operations continued for the third consecutive day today after the hoarding fell on Monday afternoon. A gas cutter being used to cut heavy iron rods caught fire today. Mumbai Fire Brigade team was present on the spot. He brought the fire under control within 10 minutes. There is no news of any casualty in the incident. After extinguishing the fire, the rescue work continued as before.
