Daylight robbery of Rs 5 lakh solved in Gwalior's Kampu area
5 accused arrested, entire amount recovered
Gwalior, Gwalior: Police have successfully solved the daylight robbery of lakhs of rupees in the Kampu police station area of Gwalior. In this case, police have arrested five accused and recovered the entire amount of the loot.
The complainant, Vasudev Sharma, a native of Rajasthan, currently residing in the Mahalgaon area of Gwalior. He told the police that on the 25th, he had arrived at the MLB College Ground after collecting Rs 5 lakh related to his brother-in-law's plywood business. At that time, two unidentified miscreants on a scooter without a number plate pushed him, snatched his bag full of money, and fled the scene.
Following the incident, police thoroughly examined CCTV cameras installed nearby and identified a suspect, Bittu. Acting swiftly, the police team reached Gurugram and detained Bittu and his accomplices.
During interrogation, accused Bittu confessed to committing the crime along with his accomplices Harsh, Raj Sharma, and two other accused. The investigation also revealed that accused Raj Sharma had a previous transaction with the complainant and had orchestrated the entire robbery.
According to the police, the bag snatched by the accused contained a total of ₹685,000. Police have arrested all five accused and recovered the entire amount. This successful operation has increased public confidence in the security system in the area.
