Damoh Police's strict action against drunk drivers
Two vehicles seized, ₹20,000 fine

Damoh, Police has seized two vehicles taking strict action on "drink and drive" cases in the district. This campaign was conducted under the leadership of Traffic Police Station Incharge Dalbir Singh Marco under the guidance of Superintendent of Police Shrutkirti Somvanshi and Additional Superintendent of Police Sandeep Mishra.
Under this campaign, during checking, pickup vehicle (number MP 15 ZJ 4387) and 407 vehicle (number HR 39D 2817) found driving in a drunken state were seized and presented in the honorable court. The court has imposed a fine of ₹10,000 each on both the drivers, totaling ₹20,000. Also, the matter has been sent to the Transport Department for suspension of driving licenses of both the drivers.
During the checking campaign at Dharampura Naka, a total summons fee of ₹11,300 was collected from 22 drivers who violated traffic rules. Damoh Police has appealed to the general public to follow traffic rules and not drive after drinking alcohol.
