Dhar, A group of Congress councilors in Dhar Municipal Council sat on a dharna in the municipality on Tuesday accusing CMO Nishikant Shukla of discrimination in development and not giving time to meet. Congress councilors locked the main gate of the municipality raising slogans against the CMOs. Seeing the escalation of the dispute, SDM Virendra Katare, CSP Devendra Singh Dhurve and Kotwali TI Deepak Chauhan reached the spot and explained to the Congress leaders. On the information about the locks on the municipality gate, the BJP councilors also reached the municipality, where after a heated argument between the leaders of both the parties, the BJP councilors broke the lock on the main gate with stones. Congress leaders Manoj Singh Gautam, Kuldeep Singh Bundela also reached the spot with their supporters on the information of the dispute in the municipality. The Congress councilor party also accused the CMOs of discrimination and indecency in development and stealing commission.

The corporator party sat on a dharna: On Wednesday, Congress corporator and Leader of Opposition Karim Qureshi sat on a dharna by locking the main gate of the municipality, accusing CMO Nishikant Shukla of discrimination and indecency in development works while raising slogans with the visiting councillors. On the information of Congress councilors' dharna, Kotwali TI reached the spot and discussed with Congress councilors. Even after the persuasion of the station in-charge, the Congress councilors did not agree and kept demanding the removal of the CMOs.

CMO Nishikant Shukla said that further information was received from the staff that some people were misbehaving with the employees by locking the main gate of the municipality along with the demonstration. The protesting people had stopped the people who had come for public service, which is a violation of the law. The matter has been reported to the police. The allegations of the Leader of the Opposition are baseless. I meet all the councilors equally. There is no such thing as indecency with councilors in my cognizance.
