Saharanpur | Deoband, Councillors in Deoband have opposed the new government order to increase tax on shops and houses. Councillors sent a memorandum to the Chief Minister demanding withdrawal of the increase in taxes. A delegation of councillors reached the Sub-Divisional Magistrate's office. Where they handed over the memorandum to the SDM's steno in his absence. In the memorandum addressed to the Chief Minister, the councillors said that the state government has issued Tax Determination-24 regarding houses and shops in Nagar Palikas and Nagar Panchayats. In this new government order, the tax rates have been increased many times compared to earlier. Most of the common people will be unable to pay it. Therefore, the excessive increase in tax should be withdrawn in public interest. In the memorandum, the government has been asked to reconsider the government order. On this occasion, councilors Shahid Hasan, Mohammad Ausaf Siddiqui, Wajid Malik, Wasim Malik, Arif Siddiqui, Mohammad Asif Liaqat and other councilors were present.
