Shajapur, the dark clouds covering the sky kept raining throughout the day and due to this, enough water accumulated in the Chillar Dam to quench the thirst of the people of the city throughout the year. It is worth noting that since the monsoon became active, the dark clouds camped in the sky have been raining intermittently and due to this, the rain continued throughout the day on Sunday as well and due to this rain, the water level of Chillar Dam has increased to 17 feet 3 inches. At the same time, according to the Meteorological Department, the process of rain from the sky will continue in the coming days. That is, there is a strong possibility of the dam being filled to the brim in the coming days. Officials of the Water Resources Department said that about six feet of water is required to supply drinking water to the people of the city throughout the year. Currently, the water level of the dam has crossed the 17 feet mark, due to which the city dwellers will not have to face water crisis this year as well.
Temperature dropped, dam water level increased
After continuous rain, the level of Chillar dam has increased, while people have got relief from the heat due to the drop in temperature. Weather expert Satyendra Dhanotiya said that due to heavy rains, the maximum temperature on Sunday fell to 28.2 degrees and the minimum temperature was recorded at 23.4 degrees. The humidity in the weather was 93 percent. In the last 24 hours, till 5 pm, 53 mm (about 2 inches) of rain was recorded in Shajapur. While till now the total rainfall has been recorded at 667 mm i.e. 28.6 inches.
