Khandwa. Congress workers staged a massive protest in Khandwa late Tuesday night against the detention of Rahul Gandhi, Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, outside the Prime Minister's residence in Delhi. Led by District Congress President Uttampal Singh, a large number of Congress workers reached the Collector's office premises and staged a sit-in, raising slogans against the central government. During the protest, Congress leaders and workers protested, calling Rahul Gandhi's detention a violation of democratic rights.

Protesters alleged that the frequent paper leaks in the country are posing a serious threat to the future of millions of students and youth. Congress workers said that young people prepare for competitive exams to improve their futures, but incidents like paper leaks destroy their years of hard work and hopes. Congress demanded accountability from the central government on this issue and strict action against the culprits.

During the protest, Congress workers raised slogans against the central government. The activists stated that Rahul Gandhi is strongly raising the voice of youth and students, and that is why attempts are being made to suppress him. Congress leaders stated that in a democracy, every citizen and public representative has the right to peacefully express their views and raise public issues. The Youth Congress has announced that it will burn an effigy on Wednesday to protest the paper leak and Rahul Gandhi's detention. Congress leaders say the party will stage a phased protest on this serious issue concerning the future of the youth and demand answers from the government.
