Congress leader Priyank Kharge spoke on the budget
'They say something else...
New Delhi: Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented the budget in Parliament today. During this, she made several announcements for different sectors. On one hand, while the NDA leaders are praising this budget, the opposition leaders are seen taking a dig at this budget. In this sequence, the statement of Priyank Kharge, a minister in the Karnataka government, has also come to the fore. He has said that the BJP and the Finance Minister say something else on the matter of tax and do something else. At the same time, other opposition leaders have also given their reactions on the budget.
Rahul Gandhi and Priyank Kharge targeted
In fact, Congress MP and Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi wrote in a post on 'X', "A bandage for a bullet wound!" He alleged that amid global uncertainty, a paradigm shift is needed to solve our economic crisis, but this government is bankrupt of ideas.
Meanwhile, Karnataka minister Priyank Kharge said, "On the issue of tax, BJP and Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman say one thing and do another. GST was a uniform tax, show the figures of 'Make in India' for the last 10 years to Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and Prime Minister Modi. What was the manufacturing production earlier and what is it today? What was around 7% earlier has now come down to 5.5%. Who is responsible for this?"
Bhagwant Mann called it an election budget
Meanwhile, Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann said in a post on social media platform 'X', "The central government has not given anything to the farmers and youth of Punjab." The Chief Minister criticized the Center for not announcing the Minimum Support Price (MSP) for crops or any package for the state's industry. He said, "The Center has neither given MSP to the farmers on their crops nor has given any package to the state for any industry. Punjab has not been given anything that can improve its economy and future." Mann said, "This budget is an election budget, which has announcements only for the state of Bihar." He said that once again the Centre has given step-motherly treatment to Punjab and Punjabis in the budget. He said, "But we will make Punjab stand on its feet."
