New Delhi. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has taken a big dig at opposition unity on Sunday. A day later, the Congress hit back at Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal for criticizing its government in Chhattisgarh and challenged him to compare the performance of the previous Sheila Dikshit dispensation with his own. On this, referring to Union Home Minister Amit Shah's taunt on the opposition group I.N.D.I.A., BJP's national spokesperson Shahzad Poonawalla wrote on X (earlier Twitter) that 'Triple divorces before marriage. Congress says that we will contest all the seats against AAP in Delhi. AAP says that Congress does not exist.

Shahzad Poonawalla did not stop at this. He said that 'Congress leader Anil Chaudhary called Kejriwal corrupt. Kejriwal attacked the corruption of the Congress government in Chhattisgarh. After Gundu Rao, Pawan Kheda challenges Delhi model! Alka Lamba called Kejriwal a thug of AAP. Conclusion: @AmitShah is always right. Work is over, friendship is over." During the discussion on the Delhi Services Bill in the Lok Sabha, Amit Shah had said that "I want to tell the Congress that after the passage of this bill, they (AAP) are not going to form any alliance with you." He appealed to the opposition MPs to think about Delhi and not about the alliance.

Significantly, the Congress reacted sharply after Aam Aadmi Party national convenor Kejriwal criticized the appalling condition of government schools in the state during the election campaign in Chhattisgarh. Kejriwal and Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann met AAP in Raipur on Saturday. addressed the worker's conference. Congress and AAP are part of 'India', a coalition of several opposition parties, but there has been a tussle between the two at the state level.
Responding to Arvind Kejriwal's criticism, Pawan Kheda, head of the media and publicity department of the Congress, tweeted, 'Why go to Raipur? The performance of our Chhattisgarh government will be compared with the previous Raman Singh government. Let us pick an area of our choice and compare the performance of our government versus the Congress government in Delhi. Are we ready for a debate?' Pawan Khera said that 'before flying to Raipur, let's talk about the ground situation in Delhi, where the whole city is going into the abyss'.
