Collector, Zila Panchayat CEO did a surprise inspection of the district hospital
Orthopedic surgeon found absent, instructions given to issue show cause notice

Anuppur, Collector Harshal Pancholi and District Panchayat Chief Executive Officer Tanmay Vashisht Sharma did a surprise inspection of the district hospital and took stock of the arrangements. Chief Medical and Health Officer Dr. A.K. Awadhiya, Civil Surgeon Dr. Satyabhama Awadhiya were present during the inspection. During the surprise inspection, the Collector examined the arrangements for OPD registration and attending to patients by the doctors of the district hospital. The Collector expressed displeasure over the absence of the orthopedic surgeon in the district hospital and directed to issue him a show cause notice. The Collector said that the timely presence of doctors should be ensured. If someone is negligent in work, then disciplinary action should be proposed against them.
The Collector gave instructions to the Civil Surgeon regarding making better arrangements for OPD. He said that the OPD registration slip should clearly mention which doctor and which room the patients have to contact for treatment. He also directed to maintain a register of whether the concerned patient reached the doctor's room against the OPD registration or not. The collector directed the CMHO and the civil surgeon to provide the necessary resources for running the Pradhan Mantri Jan Aushadhi Kendra near the OPD registration room. The collector, while giving instructions to further strengthen the OPD system, talked about improving the arrangements by reviewing the work daily. While inspecting the female delivery ward during the inspection, he directed to further improve the mechanism of patient treatment, medicines, tests etc. and provide accessible facilities to the patients.
