Damoh, Collector Sudhir Kumar Kochar told the citizens of the district that the Prime Minister and Chief Minister of the country have appealed that this time the theme of plantation will be "Ek Vriksha Maa Ke Naam", the district administration has made a lot of preparations on this and is aiming to plant more than 11 lakh trees in the district. The trees planted will be such that will be adequately protected and kept safe.

The collector has requested all government and private schools to encourage the students of their school to plant trees in their homes and in the school premises with their family members. This time Parents Teacher Meeting (PTM) is going to be held in all schools, parents come to the Parents Teacher Meeting, tree plantation should be done with those parents and children. Similarly, trees will be planted inside all government institutions, panchayats, schools, hostels, Muktidham and various premises. A large scale plantation program is being run in the forest complexes of the forest department which are lying vacant.

Collector Kochar said that to save the earth, to reduce the temperature and to avoid the effects of climate change, it is very important that everyone understands this responsibility and plants trees. Even if you plant a single tree, it is a big thing, it is a huge contribution, plant a tree to save nature and preserve it. Whenever you plant a tree, share its photographs on social media, those photographs will be sent to the higher level. Along with this, another campaign has been started to make a seed wall parallel to plantation, children are collecting seeds in every school and social organizations are also doing the work of making seed balls from these seeds, small social service organizations and government officers-employees, everyone is joining this campaign.

He urged everyone to cooperate with the district administration in this campaign of making seed walls and whenever they go anywhere, throw seed balls in the plains or mountains or wherever they deem appropriate; that seed wall will melt with the rain water and a plant will germinate there.
