Wife's brother accused
Purnia, Civil court peon was stabbed to death. The deceased's late wife's younger brother is accused of the murder. The incident took place near DSA ground in Sahayak Khajanchi police station area, where a masked man stabbed the civil court peon, who had come to visit the fair with his friend, to death. The deceased has been identified as Gaurav Kumar, son of Ramnath Prasad, a resident of Parvati Hata. On receiving information about the incident, the police reached the spot and started investigating the matter.
He was accused of wife's murder
Regarding the incident, the family members said that Gaurav's wife Priyanka Kumari died under suspicious circumstances on May 20. After the death, Priyanka's family members accused peon Gaurav and his parents of murder. Gaurav used to work as a peon in Baisi court. He had fled from home for about six months since the incident. Gaurav had filed a bail plea in Patna High Court, where the High Court had stayed the arrest of Peshkar Gaurav. Two days ago, Gaurav had come to Purnia from Patna and was living in a room near DSA ground.
Wife's younger brother accused of murder
Regarding the incident, the police said that late Friday evening, Peshkar Gaurav had come to visit the fair with his friend. Meanwhile, the younger brother of the deceased's late wife Priyanka Kumari came wearing a towel and stabbed him in the chest. Although the accused's friends present at the scene tried to catch the accused youth, he dodged them and escaped. In a hurry, the friends admitted Gaurav to Purnia GMCH for treatment, where the doctor declared him dead. The deceased's family members allege that the deceased's late wife's younger brother has committed this incident.
