Satna, will be held from October 29 to November 2. Regarding the facilities and necessary arrangements for the pilgrims coming to Chitrakoot from all over the country during the Amavasya fair, in a meeting held under the chairmanship of Collector Shri Anurag Verma at Raghuveer Temple in Chitrakoot on Wednesday, officials were given responsibilities and necessary guidelines regarding the preparations and security arrangements of the fair. On this occasion, Superintendent of Police Ashutosh Gupta, Additional Superintendent of Police Vikram Singh, Municipal Council President Ms. Sadhana Patel, SDM Jitendra Verma, Mahant Kamta Nath Chitrakoot Madan Gopaldas, CMO Vishal Singh, CEO District including district level officers and saints and dignitaries were present. Regarding the arrangements of Chitrakoot Amavasya fair, Collector Anurag Verma has given responsibilities to the officials of all the concerned departments and has given instructions to complete all the necessary arrangements in time. He said that the parking arrangements for the vehicles of the devotees coming to the fair, lighting, drinking water, routes of movement including shelter places, drop gates and barricading for crowd control should be kept in order. The 'Revenue Department' should mark the shelter places and also get map hoardings installed showing the philosophical centre, movement and facilities of Chitrakoot. The 'City Council Chitrakoot' should make arrangements for cleanliness, drinking water, repair of internal roads, control room, lost and found centre etc. The collector said that the 'Public Health Engineering Department' will be the nodal for the entire drinking water arrangement during the fair. The officials of the 'Electricity Company' should visit the entire city council area and check the lines and transformers. There should be no possibility of electrical accident anywhere. Ensure continuous power supply in the Chitrakoot area during the fair. The 'Forest Department' will arrange for bamboo sticks for barricading and wood for bonfire. The 'Public Works Department' will be responsible for barricading and repairing the roads of public works. The collector told the officials of the 'Food Department' and Food Safety Department that apart from distribution of ration in the shops of the Municipal Council area, sampling of food items in hotels, the rate list of food items should be displayed in the establishment and the sale of food items should be ensured at the fixed price. The collector said that there should be proper lighting arrangements in the entire fair area. A team of Home Guards will also be deployed at the river ghats with adequate divers and rescue material. The boatmen have also been told not to seat more passengers than the capacity in the boat. The seating capacity and rate list should also be displayed in the boats. Superintendent of Police Mr. Gupta said that strict action will be taken on non-compliance of the instructions. The collector has also given instructions to conduct continuous water testing and purification and chlorination of all drinking water sources during and before the Diwali fair. Instructions have also been given to install CCTV cameras outside hotels and restaurants, so that strict vigil can be kept on anti-social elements during the fair. Instructions were also given to keep a free medical center at the designated places in the fair zone and ambulances at prominent places. The use of domestic gas cylinders has been banned in hotels and restaurants in the entire Parikrama area. Instructions have also been given to regularly check commercial gas cylinders. The collector said that the departmental officers, employees and related people working in the Deepawali fair should perform their duties not as a duty but with a sense of service. Work with a dedicated spirit during the fair so that the devotees coming from far-off places return with good memories from Chitrakoot.
