Chirag Paswan announced to contest assembly elections
BJP-JDU's problems will increase!
Union Minister Chirag Paswan said on Sunday that he wants to contest the upcoming assembly elections in the interest of Bihar. He said that his opponents are trying to create obstacles in his way. The President of Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) made a big announcement while addressing the 'Nav Sankalp Mahasabha' organized at Rajendra Stadium in Chhapra on Sunday. Chirag Paswan said that his party will contest on 243 assembly seats in Bihar. This statement given by Chirag Paswan, the national president of Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas), which is a part of NDA, before the Bihar assembly elections can increase the problems of BJP and JDU.
He said, 'When these people ask the question whether Chirag Paswan will contest the assembly elections? So today from this holy land of Saran, I declare that I will contest the elections. This election is important for all of us, for every Bihari and for every Bihari family. And when I say that yes, Chirag Paswan will contest the elections, then I should also tell you that Chirag Paswan will contest on all 243 seats. I will contest on every seat as Chirag Paswan.'
Chirag Paswan expressed concern over the murder of businessman Gopal Khemka in Patna, the capital of Bihar. He said, 'Such incidents are happening in a government which is known for good governance. I am also supporting that government. This is really a matter of concern. I will not try to run away from this question, nor should our government try to do so. If such a big incident happens openly in urban areas, if it happens in such a posh area, then it is a very serious matter. I am in touch with the government as well as the local administration... But such incidents increase our concern... If the family (of Gopal Khemka) is scared, then it is justified. This is a family that has faced this before. Did the local administration provide security to the family?... It was the responsibility of the administration.'
Chirag Paswan said that whether the murder is in the capital Patna or in any remote village of Bihar, the government will have to be accountable for law and order. Chirag said that the government cannot run away from responsibility. The incident happens openly in the urban area. The police station was next door, the officers live in the same area. If such an incident happens in such a posh area, then it is a matter of concern. We have to see where the criminals got so much power in the rule of good governance. The government has to be serious. The LJP chief said that the domicile policy should be implemented in Bihar, I am in support of it. Without naming Tejashwi Yadav, he said, 'When the Mahagathbandhan government was in power in Bihar in 2023, then there was a RJD Deputy Chief Minister and RJD Education Minister, who ended the domicile policy.'
He accused the opposition parties of spreading confusion about reservation during the Lok Sabha elections. Chirag Paswan said, 'The opposition has run many fake narratives to confuse the people of Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe. The opposition had also spread confusion in the name of reservation during the Lok Sabha elections. The opposition will again spread confusion during the assembly elections. As long as Chirag Paswan is alive, there is no threat to either reservation or the Constitution. I will ensure that I am in the role of a watchman. I am a watchman for the people coming from Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, backward, extremely backward, deprived class in the society.'
