Raipur, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai has given the people of the state a big gift of air connectivity to three major cities of the state. Today, he inaugurated the new air service from Swami Vivekananda Airport under the Regional Connectivity Scheme of the Central Government. Raipur-Ambikapur-Bilaspur cities will be connected with this new air service. Chief Minister Sai formally inaugurated the air service by lighting a lamp at the airport terminal and flagging off the aircraft.
The Chief Minister congratulated and wished the people of Chhattisgarh for the new air service and said that these are proud moments for Chhattisgarh, especially the Surguja division, for which I would like to thank Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Under whose guidance such aviation facilities are being expanded in Chhattisgarh. He said that increasing air connectivity in the state will boost industry and trade as well as investment. This facility will increase the number of tourists in the state and also increase investment in the tourism sector. This will accelerate economic activities in the Sarguja division. New employment opportunities will also increase. The state is progressing rapidly. There will be connectivity in the Sarguja division with this flight service. He welcomed MP Chintamani Maharaj and his wife by giving them boarding passes.
Under the Regional Connectivity Scheme (UDAN), this flight service will operate three days a week on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. This flight service is being operated by Fly Big Company. The name of this aircraft is Twin Otter, which has a capacity of 19 seats and today 17 passengers boarded it. This service has been started under the Udan scheme of the Government of India. Chintamani Maharaj became the first passenger of this aircraft. On the occasion of inauguration, the aircraft was saluted with water cannon when it reached the runway.

On this occasion MLA Rajesh Aggarwal, Prabodh Minj, Ramkumar Toppo, Secretary to the Chief Minister Basavaraju, Director Aviation Department Sanjeev Jha, CMD of Fly Big Company Sanjay Mandaviya were present.
