New Delhi, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is presenting the first budget of Modi Government 3.0 today. In the budget speech, the Finance Minister said that the government is focusing the most on 4 classes. These are poor, women, youth and farmers. He said that this year there are 5 factors in the budget theme - employment, skilling, MSME and middle class. Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Yojana has been extended for 5 years. The Finance Minister said that a budget of Rs 1.52 lakh crore has been kept for the agriculture sector.

The Finance Minister said that she has set 9 priorities. These are:

Urban development,

Budget of Rs 1.52 lakh crore for agriculture sector
The Finance Minister said that a budget of Rs 1.52 lakh crore has been allocated for agriculture and allied sectors. The Finance Minister said, '109 new high yielding and climate resilient varieties of 32 regional and horticultural crops will be released for cultivation by farmers. In the next 2 years, 1 crore farmers will be engaged in natural farming supported by certification and branding...'
