Damoh, blood donation campaign has been started since last July. The first blood donation camp was organized in the Collector's office on July 30 in which 21 units of blood were collected. After this, the second camp was organized on August 28 in which bankers donated about 80 units of blood and today in this series, the third camp of the third month was organized in the office of Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC), in which about 25 units of blood have been collected today. Collector Sudhir Kumar Kochar said this today in the blood donation camp organized in LIC. SDM RL Bagri was present in the blood donation camp.

Collector Shri Kochar said that today I have visited and it is a matter of great happiness that the bankers of LIC and our government officers and employees are participating in blood donation with great enthusiasm and there are two-three big blood donors like Deepak ji and there is another blood donor who has donated blood 22 times, he was also present here.

He said that every month a blood donation camp will be organized, which will be on a large scale. We are working to strengthen the blood bank, so that every drop of blood reaches the right person. This month we are calling a big meeting of blood donors, all the big blood donors here who donate blood regularly, are being called. We will take their suggestions and will talk to them about how we can make the process of blood donation better and how we can work to promote things like eye donation and body donation. This series will continue every month.

Branch manager Pankaj Punase thanked the entire team and said that everyone immediately became available for blood donation on our small invitation, today 25 units of blood have been collected. Insurance week which we celebrate as a festival, we will try to donate as much blood as possible today so that LIC branch Damoh becomes famous in your area too.

Dr. Vishal Soni said that blood donation is a great donation, it is something that cannot be manufactured, its components include RBC, WBC and platelets. The life of platelets is 4 to 5 days, they finish after four-five days and then are made afresh. RBC are made in 120 days and WBC are replaced again in 12 to 15 days. If we donate blood then nothing happens to it, after 120 days the entire blood becomes new, apart from this, donating blood reduces the chances of heart attack, there is no harm in it, there is only benefit. He said that whatever we need will increase, like if we exercise, our muscles will become strong, if we try to remember something, our memory will increase, similarly, by donating blood, the speed of blood formation increases. There is no harm in it if any of our components are gone, it starts forming faster, whatever new thing is formed will be better.
Blood donor Deepak Jain said that a blood donation camp has been organized in LIC. It is a matter of great pride in itself that Collector Sir, whose aim is to organize a blood donation camp every month, this is the third month and with the cooperation of everyone, a blood donation camp is being organized. He said that there are about 40 thalassemia children in Damoh, some child needs blood continuously in 8 days, some in 15 days, some in a month, what will be the condition of that family, whose son is suffering from thalassemia, we and blood donors come forward for such people only, this blood is used for them. If children do not get blood in 8 days, anything can happen. Thalassemia is a major disease due to which blood is not produced in the body, we should donate blood for such children. Many times women need blood in emergency situations, donate blood for them and many times blood is required in accidental cases, so donate blood.
The blood donation camp was inaugurated by lighting the lamp by Abhay Sachdeva, Director of Tissue Culture Lab and Sachdeva Nursery, Branch Manager Pankaj Punase, Manager Administration Shajal Gupta, Administrative Officer Sunil Jain, Shrikant Gautam, Abhishek Jain and Senior Agent Ramesh Khare.
